Selank Reconstitution & Dosage Calculator

This free Selank calculator turns your vial size, the bacteriostatic water you add, and your target amount into a concentration, a draw volume, and the exact units on a U-100 insulin syringe. Selank is a synthetic analog of the immunomodulatory peptide tuftsin, developed in Russia and studied alongside Semax as an anxiolytic research peptide. This is a measurement tool — it does not recommend an amount.

What this Selank calculator does

This calculator does one job well: it turns your vial size, the amount of bacteriostatic water you add, and your target amount into a concentration (mg/mL), a draw volume (mL), and the matching units on a U-100 insulin syringe. Change any input and the result updates instantly.

Selank ships as a freeze-dried powder. Before it can be measured into a syringe it has to be reconstituted — dissolved in bacteriostatic water. How much water you add sets the concentration, and the concentration sets how many units each amount works out to. The presets above cover the most common Selank vial setups; use the custom fields for anything else.

How to use the Selank calculator

Pick your syringe

Choose the U-100 insulin syringe you'll draw with. Smaller syringes (0.3 mL / 30u) have finer lines, which helps when the draw is small.

Enter your vial and water

Set the milligrams in your Selank vial and the bacteriostatic water you added. Together these set the concentration.

Set your target amount

Toggle mg or mcg and pick (or type) the amount you're measuring for. The calculator does the conversion for you.

Read the draw

The result panel shows concentration, draw volume, and the exact U-100 units to pull, plus how many doses your vial contains.

Selank reconstitution math, explained

The math is short. Concentration = vial size ÷ bacteriostatic water. Draw volume = target amount ÷ concentration. Units = draw volume × 100 (a U-100 syringe reads 100 units per mL). The table below shows common Selank setups and the units for a 1 mg amount at each.

Vial sizeBac waterConcentrationUnits per 1 mg
10 mg1.0 mL10 mg/mL10 units
10 mg2.0 mL5 mg/mL20 units
10 mg2.5 mL4 mg/mL25 units
10 mg4.0 mL2.5 mg/mL40 units
5 mg2.0 mL2.5 mg/mL40 units

Mixing, color & storage tips

Injection and intranasal both appear in the literature

Much of the published Selank work uses an intranasal route rather than injection, where the relevant figure is a concentration per drop rather than syringe units. This calculator computes the reconstitution and unit math; if you are working intranasally, the concentration column is the number you want.

Mixing without foam

Add the bacteriostatic water slowly against the inside wall of the vial and swirl gently until clear. Do not shake.

Storage

Keep the dry powder cold and dark. Refrigerate once reconstituted, keep it out of light, and plan around a limited usable window. Do not freeze a mixed vial.

Selank and Semax together

The two are frequently supplied as a combined vial because they were developed in the same research programme and are studied together. A blended vial delivers both components in a fixed ratio per draw — use the stack calculator for that rather than this page.

Selank — frequently asked questions

What does this Selank calculator tell me?

It converts your vial size, bacteriostatic water volume, and target amount into concentration in mg/mL, draw volume in mL, and the matching units on a U-100 insulin syringe. It is a measurement tool, not a recommendation.

Is the Selank calculator free?

Yes — free, browser-based, and no account is required.

How much bacteriostatic water do I add to a 10 mg Selank vial?

A 10 mg vial with 2 mL makes 5 mg/mL, so a 500 mcg target is 10 units. Using 4 mL makes 2.5 mg/mL and doubles that to 20 units for the same amount.

How many units is 500 mcg of Selank?

At 5 mg/mL it is 10 units (0.1 mL). At 2.5 mg/mL it is 20 units (0.2 mL). Units always depend on your exact concentration.

What is the difference between Selank and Semax?

Both came out of the same Russian research programme but they have different parent molecules — Selank derives from tuftsin, Semax from ACTH 4-10. They are studied for different primary effects and are sometimes supplied blended in one vial.

How long does a reconstituted Selank vial last?

Refrigerate it, keep it dark, and plan around a limited usable window. Do not freeze a mixed vial; keep the dry powder cold for longer storage.
