DSIP reconstitution math, explained
The math is short. Concentration = vial size ÷ bacteriostatic water. Draw volume = target amount ÷ concentration. Units = draw volume × 100 (a U-100 syringe reads 100 units per mL). The table below shows common DSIP setups and the units for a 1 mg amount at each.

Mixing, color & storage tips
Very small amounts
A 100 mcg target at 2.5 mg/mL is 4 units — at the low end of what a U-100 syringe reads reliably. Reconstituting the same 5 mg vial with 5 mL instead gives 1 mg/mL, turning that 100 mcg into a 10-unit draw with much more margin for error.
Mixing without foam
Add the bacteriostatic water slowly down the inside wall of the vial and swirl rather than shake. DSIP is a short peptide and dissolves readily to a clear solution.
Storage
Keep the dry powder cold and dark. Refrigerate once reconstituted, keep it out of light, and plan around a limited usable window. Do not freeze a mixed vial.
A dilute vial goes further
Because DSIP amounts are small relative to the vial, a 5 mg vial yields a large number of draws. Choosing a more dilute mix does not waste material — it only changes how many units each draw reads as.
