It may already be a solution
This is the first thing to check. L-Carnitine is commonly supplied as a pre-mixed liquid at a stated concentration — often 200 mg/mL — rather than as a powder needing reconstitution. If your product is already a solution, skip the water step entirely: read the concentration off the label and use only the amount-to-units half of this page. Adding water to a solution changes a known concentration into an unknown one.
Draws exceed an insulin syringe
At 200 mg/mL a 500 mg target is 2.5 mL — well beyond the 1 mL capacity of a U-100 insulin syringe. Amounts at this scale are normally drawn with a larger syringe. The calculator flags anything that will not fit the capacity you select rather than printing an impossible unit count.
Not a peptide
L-Carnitine is an amino-acid derivative, not a peptide, so the peptide-specific handling cautions about agitation matter less here. The concentration and volume arithmetic is identical, which is why it shares this calculator.

Is L-Carnitine a peptide?

Why are the draws so much larger than for a peptide?
