LIPO-C Reconstitution & Dosage Calculator

This free LIPO-C calculator turns your vial total, the diluent volume, and your target amount into a concentration, a draw volume, and the exact units on a U-100 insulin syringe. LIPO-C is a lipotropic complex rather than a single compound — the milligram figure on the vial is the combined total of its components. Like L-Carnitine, it is often supplied pre-mixed. This is a measurement tool; it does not recommend an amount.

Quick summary

  • Converts vial total (mg), diluent volume (mL), and a target amount into concentration, draw volume, and U-100 units.
  • Works on the vial total, because per-component amounts are not individually stated on a lipotropic label.
  • Educational research and measurement tool only — it does not diagnose, treat, or recommend an amount.

What this LIPO-C calculator does

This calculator does one job well: it turns your vial size, the amount of bacteriostatic water you add, and your target amount into a concentration (mg/mL), a draw volume (mL), and the matching units on a U-100 insulin syringe. Change any input and the result updates instantly.

LIPO-C ships as a freeze-dried powder. Before it can be measured into a syringe it has to be reconstituted — dissolved in bacteriostatic water. How much water you add sets the concentration, and the concentration sets how many units each amount works out to. The presets above cover the most common LIPO-C vial setups; use the custom fields for anything else.

Research-use only — not medical advice. This page and calculator are educational measurement and research-planning tools. They do not recommend an amount, diagnose, or treat anything. Products referenced are sold strictly as research chemicals and are not for human or veterinary use.

How to use the LIPO-C calculator

Pick your syringe

Choose the U-100 insulin syringe you'll draw with. Smaller syringes (0.3 mL / 30u) have finer lines, which helps when the draw is small.

Enter your vial and water

Set the milligrams in your LIPO-C vial and the bacteriostatic water you added. Together these set the concentration.

Set your target amount

Toggle mg or mcg and pick (or type) the amount you're measuring for. The calculator does the conversion for you.

Read the draw

The result panel shows concentration, draw volume, and the exact U-100 units to pull, plus how many doses your vial contains.

LIPO-C reconstitution math, explained

The math is short. Concentration = vial size ÷ bacteriostatic water. Draw volume = target amount ÷ concentration. Units = draw volume × 100 (a U-100 syringe reads 100 units per mL). The table below shows common LIPO-C setups and the units for a 10 mg amount at each.

100 mg2.0 mL50 mg/mL20 units
100 mg5.0 mL20 mg/mL50 units

Mixing, color & storage tips

The number on the vial is a total, not one ingredient

A lipotropic complex combines several agents in one vial and the milligram figure is their sum. This calculator therefore works on the total, and a draw delivers every component together in whatever ratio the formulation uses. If your label breaks out per-ingredient amounts and you need those individually, the stack calculator handles per-component math from a shared vial.

Check whether it is already a solution

Lipotropic formulations are frequently supplied ready-mixed at a stated concentration. If yours is a liquid, do not add water — read the concentration from the label and use only the amount-to-units half of this page.

Ratios are formulation-specific

There is no single standard LIPO-C recipe; different suppliers use different combinations and ratios. We will not state a component breakdown we have not seen on your specific label, so verify it there rather than assuming a formula from another vendor.

Storage

Follow the product's own storage guidance. Keep it cool and out of light, and discard a solution that becomes cloudy or develops particles.

LIPO-C — frequently asked questions

What does this LIPO-C calculator tell me?

It converts your vial total, diluent volume, and target amount into concentration in mg/mL, draw volume in mL, and U-100 syringe units, on a total-milligram basis. It is a measurement tool, not a recommendation.

Is the LIPO-C calculator free?

Yes — free, browser-based, and no account is required.

What is in LIPO-C?

It is a lipotropic complex, meaning a combination of agents in one vial rather than a single compound. The exact combination and ratio varies by supplier, so read your own label — we do not publish a component breakdown we have not verified for your product.

How much diluent do I add to a 100 mg LIPO-C vial?

A 100 mg vial with 5 mL makes 20 mg/mL, so a 20 mg target is a 1 mL draw. Using 2 mL makes 50 mg/mL and the same 20 mg becomes 0.4 mL. First confirm your product is a powder and not already a solution.

How many units is 20 mg of LIPO-C?

At 20 mg/mL it is 100 units (1 mL) — the full capacity of a U-100 syringe. At 50 mg/mL it is 40 units (0.4 mL). Units always depend on your exact concentration.

Can I calculate each ingredient separately?

Only if your label states the per-ingredient amounts. If it does, enter them in the stack calculator, which splits a shared draw into per-component figures. This page works on the vial total.

LIPO-C protocol & evidence

There is no meaningful published dosing literature for LIPO-C. The protocol page says so plainly rather than printing a number.
