Glutathione ships as a freeze-dried powder. Before it can be measured into a syringe it has to be reconstituted — dissolved in bacteriostatic water. Glutathione reconstitution math, explained
The math is short. Concentration = vial size ÷ bacteriostatic water. Draw volume = target amount ÷ concentration. Units = draw volume × 100 (a U-100 syringe reads 100 units per mL). The table below shows common Glutathione setups and the units for a 100 mg amount at each.

Mixing, color & storage tips
Draws routinely exceed one syringe
This is the important difference from every other compound on the site. At 100 mg/mL a 200 mg target is 2 mL — double the capacity of a 1 mL U-100 insulin syringe. Large-volume work generally uses a larger syringe rather than several insulin syringes; the calculator flags any amount that will not fit the capacity you select.
A lot of water for a large vial
A 1500 mg vial needs far more diluent than a 10 mg peptide vial. Check the vial has physical room for the volume you intend to add before you start, and add it in stages, letting the powder dissolve between additions.
Colour and clarity
Reconstituted glutathione should be clear to very faintly straw-coloured. Reduced glutathione oxidises readily, so a solution that darkens noticeably or develops particles should be discarded rather than used.
Storage
Keep the dry powder cold, dark and dry — glutathione is hygroscopic. Refrigerate once reconstituted, protect it from light, and plan around a short usable window; it is less stable in solution than most of the peptides on this site.

How much bacteriostatic water do I add to a 1500 mg glutathione vial?
A common working choice is 15 mL, which makes 100 mg/mL and keeps the arithmetic simple — every 100 mg is 1 mL. Using 10 mL makes 150 mg/mL and yields smaller draws; using 30 mL makes 50 mg/mL and larger ones. Confirm the vial physically holds the volume first.
How many units is 200 mg of glutathione?
At 100 mg/mL it is 2 mL, which is 200 units — twice the capacity of a 1 mL U-100 syringe, so it does not fit in a single insulin syringe. At 150 mg/mL it is about 1.33 mL. This is why the tool flags capacity instead of just printing a number.
Why are glutathione draws so much bigger than peptide draws?
Because the amounts are two to three orders of magnitude larger. A typical peptide target is a few hundred micrograms; glutathione targets are hundreds of milligrams. The formula is identical — only the scale changes.
How long does a reconstituted glutathione vial last?
Shorter than most peptides. Reduced glutathione oxidises in solution, so refrigerate it, keep it dark, and plan around a short window. Discard it if the colour deepens or particles appear.
